【预告】结构完整性国际研讨会

经蒋文春教授邀请,美国国家标准局的方资慧博士、韩国原子能研究院的Wanchuck Woo 首席研究员、苏格兰思克莱德大学(Strathclyde)Donald Mackenzie教授等人将于2018111日做客我校进行结构完整性专题研讨,具体报告安排如下,欢迎广大师生一同参加。

  

报告题目:Managing Engineering Uncertainty for a Safer and More Cost-Effective Approach to Design, Manufacture, and Maintenance

方资慧,浙江镇海人。生于上海。曾上学于江苏省立上海中学高中﹐香港大学土木工程系学士。美国哥伦比亚大学工程力学硕士。史丹福大学工程力学及应用数学博士。1955年港大毕业后,曾在美国纽约巿一家设计及建造发电厂工程的公司(Ebasco)任高级工程师八年。1966年开始进入美国联邦政府的国家科技标准研究院工作。迄今已有五十多年累积下来研究科技标准的经验和心得。从2006年起,方博士并开始在美国费城的  Drexel  和加州的  Stanford  两个大学担任客座教授。课程题目包括 “有限元计算的可靠性”,“复合材料设计及制造的可靠性”,“工程统计学”, 等等。从2012年起,方博士受聘在中国两个大学,华东理工大学,及香港城市大学,担任客座教授。课程题目加上了两课,工程设计,制造,及维修的可靠性,及风险分析 “无损探伤数量技术的可靠性,及专家知识结合成果的应用(Expert Panel Contribution to NDE Reliability)”

方博士是美国机械工程师学会(ASME)及材料测验学会(ASTM)的高等会员。曾任 ASTM-E9.01疲劳研究分委员会 (Fatigue Research Subcommittee) 主席﹐及 ASME 压力容器及管道分会主席。1985 年 ﹐中华人民共和国的国家标准局聘请方博士为全国压力容器标準化技术委员会名誉顾问。1993 年﹐美国机械工程师学会 (ASME) 赠方博士最高荣誉的压力容器奖章。2014 年﹐国际计算及实验科学工程学会 (ICCES) 赠方博士最高荣誉的终身成就奖牌。出版的学术报告及论文逾一百多篇。主编的科技会议议程书也达十七本。


报告提目:Microstructure and residual stresses through the thickness of functionally graded additive manufactured materials

Wanchuck Woo graduated from Korea University in 1996 (MS/BS in metallurgical engineering) and obtained his Ph.D. from the department of materials science and engineering, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA in 2006. He has working experiences at SAMSUNG Heavy Industries (1996 - 2001) as a welding engineer, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, TN, USA as a postdoctoral research associate (2007-2008), and Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, Daejeon, South Korea as an instrument scientist since 2009. His research interests are physical, mechanical properties including residual stress and deformation behavior using destructive (contour, hole drilling) and diffraction (x-ray, neutron, and imaging) methods in welds and structural metals and alloys. His publications over 120 SCI/E papers were cited over 1300 times.

  



报告提目:The current status of piping design & analysis for structural integrity

Prof. James Boyle, University of Strathclyde, UK .Professor Jim Boyle has been active in Mechanical Engineering research for over 40 years. His main areas of study have been in stress analysis for creep, high temperature design, simplified and robust methods for design, limit and shakedown analysis and the design of pressurised equipment. Research in pressure vessel design has covered design by analysis, the nature and development of design codes, the behaviour of pressurised components at elevated temperature and piping design and analysis. He is the author of over 400 technical papers and reports and several books including conference proceedings, having given over 40 invited keynote lectures worldwide and has been a Visiting Professor in the U.S., Sweden, Japan, Brazil, Russia and Europe.

A particular interest over the past twenty years has been a more modern approach to engineering education, particularly in the large class format for engineering sciences. He has introduced a collaborative, active approach with a novel version of engineering problem solving which institutions have adopted across the UK and beyond. Over 60 invited lectures and workshops on teaching and learning have been given over the past 15 years in numerous institutions in the UK and Europe.

James Boyle教授任教于斯凯莱德大学机械工程系,曾担任机械工程系主任多年。他从事机械工程研究已超过40年,主要研究领域包括:蠕变和高温设计的应力分析,设计简化和鲁棒方法,极限与安定性分析以及承压设备的设计。在压力容器设计方面的研究涵盖了分析设计、设计规范的发展与解读、承压部件在高温下的行为以及压力管道的设计与分析。Boyle教授撰写了400多篇期刊论文与报告,出版过几本著作,其中包括会议论文,并应邀在全球范围内开过40多个主题讲座,而且是美国、瑞典、日本、巴西、俄罗斯、欧洲的客座教授。

过去的二十年,Boyle教授着眼于用更现代的方法开展工程教育,尤其是大课堂的工程科学教育。他引入了协同、积极的方法,在解决工程问题方面有新的见解,英国和其他国家的研究机构已经采用。过去的15年内, Boyle教授受邀到许多英国、欧洲的研究机构做过60几场讲座和报告,讲座与报告主题包括工程方面的教学与学习。

Prof. Yuh J Chao (赵玉津) received his B.S. from National Cheng-Kung University in Mechanical Engineering, M.S. from National Tsing-Hua University in power Mechanical Engineering, both in Taiwan, and Ph.D. degree in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from the University Of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign 1981. He worked in the petroleum industry briefly before joining the University Of South Carolina (USC) in 1984. Dr. Chao is currently a Full Professor at the University Of South Carolina and was the John Ducate Sr. Endowed Chair Professor in 1996-2013.

Dr. Chao is a Fellow of both the Society of Experimental Mechanics (SENO and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He was the Associate Editor (1995-1999) and Editor-in-Chief (2000-2003) of the international journal of Experimental Mechanics. Dr. Chao was also a Research Fellow of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany. He has received numerous awards from the university and professional societies, including BJ I-Azan Award (2006), Hetenyi Award (2003), and RE Peterson Award (1996) from SEM and The Best Paper Award from the ASME Pressure Vessel and Piping Conference 2009. Distinguished Alumni Award from Mechanical Engineering, National Cheng-Kung University, 2015. He is the recipient Of the Research Achievement Award from the College Of Engineering, USC in 1997. Dr. Chao is a guest professor at five universities in China, Associate Dean Of International Affairs at College of Mechanics, Xinan Jiaotong University, and a Talent Program Chair Professor at Tlanjin University since 2013.

Dr. Chao's research covers a wide range Of topics in applied mechanics including hydrogen embitterment Of steels, optical methods, application Of digital image processing (DIC) in manufacturing and mechanics, pressure vessel stress analysis and design, theoretical and experimental fracture mechanics, dynamic response Of materials and structures, structural health monitoring modeling Of welding and cutting processes, nano-material characterization, fuel cell durability and bioengineering. He is the original developer Of the 3D version Of the DIC method, which is now widely used in engineering and science around the world. Dr. Chao has published over 150 SCI journal papers and presented his work at universities, industry and intern at-international conferences at numerous occasions. His work has been cited over 6032 times as of 12/31/2015 and an h-index:36.

  

赵教授是南卡罗来纳州立大学的终身教授,是DIC3D数字图像关联)技术的创始人,发表过超过150SCI论文,学术成就包括美国实验力学学会(SEM)和机械工程师协会(ASME)会员、国际著名期刊Experimental Mechanics主编、亚力山大·冯·洪堡特基金会研究员、BJ Lazan Award (2006), Hetenyi Award (2003), and RE Peterson Award (1996) from SEMJohn Ducate Sr. Endowed Chair Professor at the University of South Carolina、最佳论文奖, the ASME Pressure Vessel and Piping Conference 2009、杰出校友奖, 台湾国立成功大学, 2015.科研成就奖, 南卡罗来纳大学, 1997.

Donald MackenzieProf. Donald Mackenzie, University of Strathclyde, UK.  Donald Mackenzie is a Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Prof Mackenzie joined the Department as a researcher where he gained an PhD working on pressure vessel design and computational mechanics. In 2006-2011 & 2013-2015, he was the Head of Department. He has written over 100 papers on the subject. Professor Mackenzie is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and Former Associate Editor at Large of the ASME Journal of Pressure Vessel Technology.

He is a consultant to industry, works with major engineering organisations in the power, oil & gas and petrochemical sectors.

  

唐纳德·麦肯齐(Donald Mackenzie)是苏格兰思克莱德大学(Strathclyde) 机械工程系教授。他以研究员身份进入该系,后研究压力容器制造和机械计算问题获得博士学位,并于2006-2011年、2013-2015年任系主任。

麦肯齐教授写过100多篇论文研究该领域的问题,是前《压力容器技术期刊》副主编,现为机械工程师协会研究员,工业界咨询师,并与电力、石油天然气和石化行业的主要组织合作。

  

  

  

  

报告提目:Studying the deformation behavior of Mg-Zn alloy under loading-unloading by in situ neutron diffraction and polycrystal plasticity modeling.

Huai Wang, Research assistant, Neutron Science center, Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, Daejeon, South Korea. Huai Wang graduated from China Unversity of Petroleum (East China) in 2015 (B.S./M.S. in mechanical engineering). Since then, he  continued his Ph.D. study, majoring in materials science and engineering, in Chungnam National University, South Korea. At the same  time, he is also a research assistant at the Neutron Science Center at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute. His research  interests include (i) residual stress and its effect on structural integrity; (ii) deformation behavior of engineering structural  metals and alloys. He has published 3 SCI papers during his graduate study.

另外,英国能源公司的SHI JINHUA(师金华)博士、苏格兰思克莱德大学的CHEN HAOFENG(陈浩峰)教授也一同参加了本次研讨会,师金华博士和陈浩峰教授的简历如下:

SHI JINHUA(师金华)博士是结构完整性方面的国际专家,机械工程师协会的研究员,在高压系统的设计、研究和开发;弹性和非弹性有限元分析;英国,欧洲,香港以及中国大陆的核电厂、常规电厂和石化装置的结构完整性评价方面具有超过32年的研究经验。Shi博士对于高端气冷反应堆,Magnox反应堆以及高端沸水反应堆等方面的研究有着丰富的专业知识和从业技能,他曾经多次参加西屋公司设计的AP1000核反应堆的设计评估。师金华老师有着多年的核电领域的从业研究,对于西屋公司的AP1000的研究极为透彻,并领导了众多的相关工程项目,获得了英国、法国相关企业的好评和认可。本次师老师交流主要商议探讨将如何帮助山东大学组建核工程与技术专业,并通过授课、举行学术报告和专题讲座、进行师生交流会等形式与相关师生展开交流互动的具体细节,以确保利用他们极其丰富的从业知识和从业技能,来提升广大师生对于核电装备的认知深度和广度,最大程度上的保证了高水平核电人才的培养。

  

  

“chen haofeng”的图片搜索结果Dr. CHEN HAOFENG has established and leaded the Structural Integrity and Life Assessment (SILA, www.thelmm.co.uk) Research Group in the department, which has opened up a new capability in the University on innovative numerical techniques for the high temperature and cyclic responses of mechanical structures. His research group currently has 3 academic staff, 1 postdoc research fellow, 6 PhD students and 7 academic visitors. Research impacts including both the academic impact, and economic and societal impact have been evidenced by my substantial number of high quality research publications and successful transfer of our novel numerical method for structural life assessment, the Linear Matching Method and its software tool, into  the engineering industry including EDF Energy, Rolls-Royce and Siemens. The developed LMM has been incorporated in the UK nuclear power industry standard structural integrity assessment code R5, and it is adopted by researchers and engineers worldwide including UK, China and America.

  

陈博士建立并领导了本系的结构完整性和寿命评估(SILAwww.thelmm.co.uk)研究小组,该研究小组在该大学开辟了一项新的研究机械结构在高温、循环载荷下反应的数值技术。他的研究小组目前有3名学术人员,1名博士后研究员,6名博士生和7名访问学者。大量高质量的研究成果已经证实这项研究的影响,并成功地将我们的结构寿命评估的新型数值线性匹配方法及其软件工具转移到工程中,包括EDF能源公司,罗尔斯·罗伊斯公司和西门子公司。已开发出的LMM已被纳入英国核电行业标准结构完整性评估代码R5,并被全球研究人员和工程师采用,包括英国,中国和美国。
