College of Chemical Engineering held its 11thAnnual Faculty Photography Competition.

Recently College of Chemical Engineering has successfully held its 11th Annual Faculty Photography Competition which lasted for one month including collecting, displaying and awarding. This year’s competition aims at improving the faculty’s taste and making their life colorful and interesting. All the faculties show great interest in the activity and more than 240 wonderful photos were collected which make for a feast for the eyes and souls.

Many well-known people have been specially invited to the photography competition as judges such as professor Wang Xinzheng who is a standing committee member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a photographer of top class in our country, and Tan Feng who was the former secretary of the party committee in the college of chemical engineering and loves photography very much. Through rounds of selection and comparison, the judges have announced three first prizes, six second prizes, twelve third prizes and twenty recognition awards. The first prizes are The Blooming Eurycorymbus Hand by Duan Hongling, Cooperation by Guo Meng and Red Sun by Zhao Yurong. The second prizes are The Goddess under the Starry Sky by Liu Wei, A Gril Who Loves laughing by Sun Zhuohui, Pancake and Green Chinese Onion by Ding Chuanqin, Enjoy My Work by Lu Lei, Bright Green by Lu Lei, Stars by Li Shufeng. The third prizes are Sign Your Name When Graduating by Zhang Qingdong, Washing by Ding Chuanqin, Waterfall by Sun Zhiqian, The Watchman by Yang Xiujie, Evening Glow by Chen Cuixia, Evening Bell by Li Yanpeng, Climbing by Yu Yingmin, Colorful Autumn by Tu Yongshan, Reciting Three Character Classic by Sun Zhuohui, Harmony-Carrying by Liu Huie, Giant Shadow by Li Hui, Flying by Yin Changlong. The recognition awards include Horses in Group by Li Junling and so on. Some of these works have been exhibited in the college.

      Various types of photos were collected in this competition, and the themes included beautiful scenery, lovely childhood, colorful school life and interesting and unique snaps. Those photos worked as a platform on which our faculties could show themselves, feel the charm of photography and record what they cherish in their lives.
