.Training Objectives

The professional aimed to train senior people with professional skill who are well developed in moral , intellectual , physical , aesthetics and labor education, adapt to the needs of the National Petroleum and chemical industry, having solid theoretical foundation of chemistry and awarenessofinnovation, mastering the basic theory, professional knowledge, and good experiment skill of chemistry and related engineering, who can be engaged in scientific research, teaching, engineering technology, and management in the petroleum and petrochemical and other chemical fields after graduation.

.Training standards

The students mainly study the basic theory and knowledge of chemistry and related engineering technical knowledge, have training of the chemical experiment skill, the scientific research and engineering practice, master a foreign language, have good scientific literacy, and have ability to apply the theory of knowledge and skills to conduct applied research, technology development and technology management.

The following knowledge and ability are required for the graduates:

1.Have a positive conception of world, life and values, have a good ideological and moral quality, the spirit of unity and cooperation, and the high social sense of responsibility and good profession ethics.

2.Have a solid foundation of natural science and good quality of humanities and social sciences. Have good foreign language and computer operation performance.

3.Master the basic knowledge, theory and experiment skills of inorganic and analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, instrumental analysis, chemical engineering, fine chemical technology, petroleum chemistry, oil applied chemistry and other aspects.

4.Master general theory and knowledge of technology related to Petroleum and petrochemical industries.

5.Understand theoretical frontiers, application prospect, the latest developments, Petroleum and petrochemical industry development about chemistry, the national policy and regulations about science and technology, chemical related products, intellectual property and other aspects.

6.Master the basic approaches about the information query in domestic and outside, document retrieval and use of modern information technology to obtain information.

7.Have abilities of experimental design, induction, data processing, paper writing and academic exchanges.

Inorganic and Analytical ChemistryMainly consists of atoms, molecules, crystal structure of the material, the periodic table of elements, chemical thermodynamics, basic knowledge of kinetics, theory of error, the proton theory, buffer solution, solution pH, coordination, oxidation and reduction, precipitation dissolution equilibrium theory and method, and the titration of important elements of the nature and the relevant carbon hybrid orbit, hydrocarbon compounds and derivatives properties and structure characteristics.

Physical ChemistryMainly include the properties of gases, the first law of thermodynamics and its application, the second law of thermodynamics, thermodynamics of multicomponent systems and its application in the solution; phase equilibrium, chemical equilibrium, statistical thermodynamics; electrolyte solution; electric potential and its application, electric solution and the polarization effect and chemical kinetics of reversible cell.

Organic ChemistryIncluding the main physical properties of organic compounds, the classification and naming of organic compounds and the law of variation of physical properties of compounds, separation, purification and identification of the important role of organic compounds, the structure and the interactions of the atoms in molecules, organic compounds, the chemical properties of organic compounds structure and the nature of the relationship between, organic compounds and the law of mutual conversion.

Petroleum ChemistryIncluding composition, properties and processing of oil into chemical problem engine fuel, lubricants and petroleum chemicals in the process of the subject, its scope includes petroleum thermal conversion, and catalytic conversion, chemical composition and properties of petroleum and its products - chemical principle, lubricating oil and additive chemistry, petroleum chemical synthetic chemistry principle.

Oilfield Applied ChemistryIncluding chemistry elementary principle, oil-field chemicals and its actionprinciple in the oil-gas field development from drilling, oil and gas production to gathering and transportation.

Fine Chemical Industry TechnologyMainly include the basic theory and related knowledge of chemistry and technology of fine organic chemicals synthesis unit process.

Principles of Chemical Industry: Mainly introduces the basic principle of the fluid flow, heat transfer and mass transfer, main unit operation equipment structure, operation principle, calculation, selection and research methods, training the students to use the basic theory to analyze and solve practical problems in various engineering unit operations of chemical engineering ability.

Graduation requirements

1Students need to get 180 credits in the professional development program, and get 10 credits in the he initiative development program at leastmust get 2 credits at least in the social practice and technical innovation respectivelyand the credits of State Students Health Standards for graduation.
