From 27thJuly to 1stAugust, Professor Yang Zhaohe, Dean of College of Chemical Engineering together with Wu Mingbo, Professor of State Key Laboratory ofHeavy Oil invited by Professor Chun Fanli paid exchange visit to University of Toyama. Both sides conducted in-depth discussion on strengthening the cultivation of talents and deepening the cooperation inscientific research. During the visit in Japan, they also visited The University ofTokyo, Waseda Universityand Nitto DenkoCorporation.
During the visit to University of Toyama, Professor Yang Zhaohe made a brief introduction to the College of Chemical Engineeringincluding its history, subject setting, faculty building, students training, and scientific research. Professor Yang also made an academicreport, i.e. “Heavy Oil FCC Technology Advancement for Production of Light Olefin and High Octane Gasoline Components”. Professor Wu Mingbo made anotheracademic report “Preparation and Applications of Functional Carbon Materials from Heavy Oil”. Professor Chun Fanli from University of Toyama, he comprehensivelyintroducedits research direction, and led to visit the laboratory. Both sides made full exchange ofscientific research, and reached a consensuson thatthey would take full advantage of strengths of both parties concerned, jointly cultivate graduate students, and carry out international cooperation in science and technology.During this visit, Dean Yang Zhaohe extendedhis sincere regards toDr. Tan Minhui and Dr. Ai Peipei, and communicated with Chinese students who were studyingin University of Toyama.
During the visit to Nitto Denko Corporation, Dean Yang Zhaohe visited the research and development center which lies in Osaka. Mr. Xigang, CTO and Executive Director of Nitto Denko Corporation warmly welcomed Dean Yang Zhaohe and their party. Both sides reached a consensus on that they would take full advantage of strengths of both parties concerned, further strengthen international cooperation in science and technology and jointly cultivate post - doctoral. In 2014, Nitto Denko Corporation signed a cooperation framework agreement with Qingdao Science and Technology Bureau, and invested in building the Nitto Denko Research Institute (Qingdao) which lies in the Industrial Technology Research Institute of High - tech Zone. To promote science and technology innovation and achievements transferring of Nitto Denko Corporation in Qingdao and promote the innovation and development of chemical engineering of our school, Nitto Denko Corporation and College of Chemical Engineering made effective communication and successful launch in scientific research cooperation.
