Recently, the Taiwan-oriented Office of Shandong Provincial Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Shandong Provincial People’s Government issued on ‘the recognition of 2016 annual outstanding exchange projects of Shandong province.’ There are 137 projects on the lists in total, 12 of which are university projects.
Our project ‘cross-strait chemical engineering and technology academic and culture exchange camp’ hosted by the department of Chemical Engineering was considered the outstanding exchange project to Taiwan and received recognition.
In the year of 2016, our university earnestly put the central committee’s all terms of policy toward Taiwan and the working deployment of the Ministry of Education and the Provincial Department of Taiwan Office into implement.
Under the new circumstance of the cross-strait relation’s development, our department’s work closely followed the school’s focus, make the academic communication as a break point and carefully design and meticulously plan the exchange projects to Taiwan.
On the basis of enhancing the relationship with the Taiwan universities between teachers and students, our department strive to promote the academic communication and cooperation. Besides, it promote the common development for cross-strait higher education, which is highly admired by the superior department.
‘Cross-strait three schools meet in Qingdao • work together to discuss chemical development’ -2016 cross-strait chemical engineering and technology academic and cultural exchange camp lasts a week. During the period, the 16 teachers and students from Taiwan Datong university and Yunlin university together with our teachers and students, jointly carry out 25 academic activities, and make the field trip to the Qingdao Mingyue seaweed Co,Ltd, Huicheng environmental technology Co, Ltd. They understand the economic and social development of Qingdao, investigate the history and culture and further deepen the communication and cooperation between the Taiwan’s academic and industry groups with our university.
