Units and individuals in Shandong Province, making outstanding contributions to the scientific and technological progress and social-economic development, received awards in the Conference of Annual Provincial Science and Technology Award in 2016 hold by Provincial Party Committee and government in Ji Nan on May 22nd. Four technological achievements in our school gained the Science and Technology Award of Shandong Province, including one first prize of Natural Science Award, one first prize and two second prizes of Science and Technology Progress Award.
“Coking furnace technology with harsh conditions and low coking rates” completed by Xiao Jiazhi, Yang Junwei, Shen Guoping, Zhang Longli and Wang Lanjuan et al. and “hydrogen visbreaking-deep cracking process for tinpot oil” made by Liu Dong, Wang Zongxian, Guo Aijun, Yin Changlong, Chen Kun and Zhang Hongyu et al. won the second prizes of Science and Technology Progress Award. In addition, the project named “Surface and interface control of nano-carbon materials and enhancement mechanism of physical properties” participated by Yan Zifeng et al. gained the first prize of Natural Science Award.
“Coking furnace technology with harsh conditions and low coking rates” is based on thermal reaction chemistry of heavy oil and radiative heat transfer theory and it has made a significant innovation and breakthrough of delayed coking technology in the aspects of materials evaluation, the coking mechanism of furnace pipes, design criteria for delayed coking furnace and key engineering equipments by combining the development of both specialized devices and simulation software. The main technical advantages were evidenced by the fact that the capacity of coking furnace was increased by 20% or more, the cleaning cycle was extended from six months to twelve months, coke yield was decreased by 1 to 3% and light oil yield was raised by 1 to 2%. This technique has been applied successfully in more than forty sets of industrial installations (fifteen sets in Shan Dong Province) and its total processing size was more than fifty-three million tons per year. The achievements of it included twenty-four papers and twelve patents. Selected as the already industrialized, competitive internationally domestic technique in 21st century and one of sixteen extrapolation technologies with independent intellectual property rights, this technique has laid a foundation in promoting the efficiency improvement of the refining industry in Shan Dong Province and the implementation of “going out” strategy for Chinese refining technology.
Compared with the current domestic thermal processing technology of conventional heavy oil, the combined processes in “hydrogen visbreaking-deep cracking process for tinpot oil” can not only reduce viscosity, but also decrease the mass fraction of gas and coke yield and improve that of light oil. In the meanwhile, the on-stream period was prolonged obviously by this process. The combined process has solved the problem of thermal conversion technology of conventional heavy oil to some extent and made up the gaps in the process of deep thermal working of heavy oil at home and abroad. The project published fifty papers and was authorized by ten patents.
In 2016, there were one hundred and thirty-five projects and four technical specialists awarded by the Science and Technology Award in Shan Dong Province, including one grand prize, three International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Awards, two first prizes, seven second prizes and two third prizes of Science and Technology Progress Award, five first prizes, seven second prizes of Technological Invention Award and eighteen first prizes, fifty-nine second prizes, thirty-five third prizes of Science and Technology Progress Award.
