A communication meeting on the evaluation of Student Party Construction in China University of Petroleum (East China) was conducted by School of Chemical Engineering in the lecture hall of Engineering Block A on May 18. Wen Shengli working in Organization Department was invited to explain the evaluation of Student Party Construction for teachers and students. The College Party Secretary Feng Baopeng and vice Secretary Wang Xun attended the meeting, along with all the instructors and Party Secretary of student branch.
Firstly, Wen Shengli did some interpretations from three aspects including background, policymaking and main contents of the evaluation. He pointed that in the context of a comprehensive and rigid Party strategy, Party Central Committee has been committed to developing a series of top-down educational practices since the 18th party congress, promoting both the normalized, institutionalized Party building studies and the achievement of “four qualified”, also providing concrete basis of theory, policy, work and reality for the establishment of the evaluation. The evaluation includes 6 first-grade index containing “organization, branch construction, development of Party member, educational management, function and featured work, with 14 second-grade index and 39 third-grade index. Wen Shengli made a detailed explanation one by one according to index contents. He stressed that Student Party Construction must implement related school policies conscientiously, and develop more comprehensive and detailed work systems. Party organization on basic level must be sure to carry out the three meetings strictly, act the compulsory well and develop the optional, further promoting the construction of class and academic atmosphere. New Party members must play the leading role of the council and act actively in critical moments and main events. Finally, Wen Shengli introduced some job cases of dormitory workstation of Student Party Members in China University of Mining and Technology (Xu Zhou).
Afterwards, Feng Baopeng made several requests for Student Part Construction, firstly, the construction work must be deepen and standardized, following the indicators to implement tasks well, identify the gap and direction of endeavors. Secondly, the purpose of work must be identified to embody the performance in the aspects of function of Party and battle fortress. Thirdly, enhancing learning and being diligent in thinking were the necessary things to do to select the typical actively, concise methods and show the characteristics of the School.
At last, Wang Xun made a summary for this meeting, pointing the importance of enhancing training of branch Secretary, implementing evaluation systems, building features and selecting the typical for powering Student Party Construction, also the necessity of evaluation to improve the transformation and construction for playing the role of Party members and branches effectively and reflecting work achievements in promoting students’ all-round growth.
