On July 13th -14th , 2017, the two – day mid-term inspection workshop of waste treatment and utilization technology of National oil and gas development and science and technology major project was successfully held at the China University of Petroleum (East China). The meeting was arranged by the College of chemical engineering, and hosted by Li Xingchun, director of State Key Laboratory of pollution control and treatment for petroleum and petrochemical industries.
At the beginning of meeting, the project leader Li Xingchun introduced the mid-term examination report and research progress of each topic, which consists of study on pollution source control technology, study on harmless treatment and resource utilization of oil based drilling waste, study on rapid treatment and reuse technology of volume fracturing flow back fluid, study on high efficiency treatment technology of acidizing fracturing flow back fluid, study on desalting and reuse technology of high salinity production water. After the special report is finished, the experts and the subjects of the project discussed and exchanged the questions on the spot; Subsequently, based on progress of thematic meeting internal research work and work arrangements, the meeting conducted a centralized exchange and discussion, and arrange and deploy the next step work.
The meeting was attended by 11 universities and research institutes, with 45 participants, which puts some suggestions forward for the problems of the treatment and utilization of unconventional oil and gas waste such as shale gas, and provides a better method and strategy for the smooth development of the major national special projects.
