As it seeks to practice the concept of international education, improve the level of international education, enrich the students’ professional knowledge and international vision as well as promote the academic cooperation among teachers and students in China and abroad, the environmental and safety engineering department launched the 2017 summer international class which provides a sound platform for learning and communication.
The two courses called “Environmental history and site restoration of the United States” directed by Professor Zhao Chaocheng and Professor Liu Fang and “Control and management of air pollution” hosted by associate Professor Wang Yongqiang were held in the building A406 on July 3, 2017. Mrs.Cindy from the US Environmental Protection Agency of California and Professor Lv Mingming from University of Cincinnati were invited to give lectures. More than forty undergraduates from the class of 2015 and 2016 as well as part of teachers and graduates students from environmental department participated in this object.
The summer class themed by the US environmental history and site restoration, control and management of air pollution in US contains rich learning contents and discussion activities. Combining the teaching from teachers and discussion among students, this object deepens the interaction between teachers and students, provides a more comprehensive, true status and development trends of the US environmental history, site restoration, control and management of air pollution. It also helps students to accumulate knowledge, broaden horizons, cultivate interests and enhance professional skills.
