The third cross-strait exchanges camp which is cross-strait "security • energy and environment" (SEE) academic conference was held in our school. nearly 70 teachers and students, coming from Taiwan Datong University, Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Fuzhou University and China University of Petroleum (East China), participate in the exchange camp.
On the opening ceremony, the China University of Petroleum (East China) School of Chemical Engineering Dean Professor Yang Chaohe, Taiwan Datong University Professor Chen Jiaming and Fuzhou University Professor Yang Chen had a speech respectively.
Professor Yang Chaohe introduced basic situations of the Institute of Chemical Engineering from the history of the hospital, discipline, teacher team building and student training, scientific research and so on. Professor Chen Jiaming hopes to take this opportunity to strengthen cross-strait exchanges and promote scientific research cooperation. Professor Yang Chen said that the two sides would further carry out cross-strait academic and cultural exchanges, enhancing understanding and common enhancements.
Exchange activities are divided into two aspects of academic and cultural. In the area of academic exchanges, teachers and students from both sides of the strait carried out a series of academic reports on the theme of "safety, energy and environment". The conference views on the application of new energy technologies, environmental protection technology and chemical process safety. In the area of cultural exchanges, cross-strait young students through traditional instrumental music and other cultural performances express the charming of traditional culture.
The theme of the academic conference is security, energy, the environment (SEE) meaning to attach importance to these three issues together. The academic conference is a very good opportunity so that we can go together from different areas to mutual exchange, mutual learning and common development.
The exchange camp activities provide a new academic and industrial exchanges platform with Taiwan and provide for Taiwan students a good opportunity to understand the mainland. This exchange camp promoted cross-strait friendship and achieve a better basis for communication and cooperation for the environmental protection, chemical safety and new energy materials and other areas.
