In November 9th, Jane Kucko, deputy director of the Global Education Department of the University of Tulsa, and Laura Semenow, a project director, visited to our school. The Institute of chemical engineering held a symposium in the A conference room of the engineering building. The two sides exchanged views on 2+2 joint training and other matters. Professor Liu Huie, Professor Liu Fang, Professor Jin Xin, and Liu Zhaoli attended the forum. The meeting was presided over by assistant dean Liu Dong.
At the forum, Liu Dong warmly welcomed the visiting guests on behalf of the school and the college. Jin Xin briefed the guests on the history of the school of chemical engineering of China University of Petroleum (Hua Dong), and also demonstrated the professional settings and the teaching staff. In view of the joint training program which the two sides will carry out, Jin Xin introduces the basic situation of the related major from the aspects of discipline construction and scientific research, and focuses on the problems of academic cohesion of some majors Project Manager Laura Semenow also introduced the highlights of University of Tulsa research, professional development prospects, teaching and research equipment and teaching environment, and expressed expectations for the upcoming cooperation.
